Millbrook Winery Tasting & Lunch
2010-09-05
Sunday was a perfect day for a countryside drive to picturesque
Millbrook Winery in Jarrahdale.
We tasted the delicious winery blends of this acclaimed vineyard, followed by Lunch with choices of delicious duck, tender rib eye steak and
scrumptious whiting fillets…these were savoured by all!
Much to our members delight the special offer of three cartons
for the price of two was hard to resist!
Sitting on the lower lakeside balcony, we spent the remainder
of the day enjoying the afternoon sun with coffees and
more wine before departing to back to Perth…

Winter Sunday Lunch at the Blue Duck
2010-08-15
Overlooking the beach at North Cottesloe with a Brilliant Blue sky & a calm sea looking out towards Rottnest is a wonderful way to enjoy a
Sunday Lunch & afternoon...
We mingled & chatted whilst enjoying our complimentary drink and spent the afternoon relaxing together and warmly greeted our eight new members
who were attending their first event with P&F.
With the change of ownership at The Blue Duck and the introduction of a new menu & enthusiastic new kitchen staff on hand, we were served an abundance of delicious, fresh and exciting meals, which we would truly recommend!

Africa with Style at the Pink Zulu
2010-08-07
For many of our 42 members who attended Saturday evening's event at this funky new venue in Cottesloe, it was their first visit to the Pink Zulu.
We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks followed by a progressive Tapas style menu of assorted African infused cuisine, which was a “taste sensation”
quite uniquely different & enjoyed by all.
For the late nighters we continued on afterwards for coffee and night-caps at champagne bar Elba, just across the street…

Sydney 5 Star
2010-07-30
Sydney really is the New York of Australia & our party of 12 arrived at 2pm on Friday and were greeted & chauffeured to our wonderful boutique hotel; The Sir Stamford, located in Circular Quay. It is a superb location, only a 2 minute stroll to the harbour ferries & 5 minutes from the Opera House.
The comfort of the hotel, with its unique warmth & cosiness makes you feel like it is a luxurious home away from home. As you enter the Grand Lobby you can smell the gentle aroma of the open wood fires & the plush antique furniture was oh so comfortable to lounge on while you gaze at the hotel’s remarkable & classical art collection.
After freshening up, Friday evening's pre dinner drinks were enjoyed while listening to the talent of the resident piano man. Drinks were followed by a lovely dinner in the hotel's dining room together.

Sydney 5 Star
2010-07-30
Options are endless in Sydney & on Saturday some ferried over to the Sydney Zoo, while the preferred option was to simply take a 15 minute stroll into the main city shopping area of Pitt Street and on to Darling Harbour by monorail for lunch.
A highlight event was Saturday evening’s concert in The Opera House with a ‘Best of Leonard Bernstein’s Repertoire’ performed by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra & guests. Our premium seats allowed us to have a more close up & personal experience, which consequently, was laden with emotion!
The Rocks Markets which is also a short walk from Sir Stamford Hotel, is a must see on Sundays and we were bathed in sunshine for the entire weekend. We took the ferry across to the north shore where we enjoyed drinks & tapas while listening to afternoon live music at The Deck at Milsons Point. Some of our Sydney members joined us, which made it very special.
The evening took us to Kings Cross trendiest pizza café venue – Hugos, where we were united in voting it the ultimate pizzas destination – the venue was very trendy & the pizzas were the best any of us had ever experienced!
Finally on Monday, after a wonderful seafood lunch at the famous Doyles at Watsons Bay, we ferried back to our hotel and sadly bid farewell to Sydney.
We hope to repeat another long weekend away in the future as this event was
so successfully attended & appreciated. Everyone enjoyed each others company fabulously well & lifetime friendships have been formed, which is always the case on our holidays. At this stage we are thinking Melbourne may be our next long weekend destination where we can tap into some wonderful shows…

Friday's Fun, Cocktails & Jazz 'On the Terrace' Claremont
2010-07-30
Our Friday night ‘On The Terrace’ with Cocktails & Jazz was a wonderful evening spent together… With special thanks to functions manager Kirsty & Pierre who took special care to ensure the constant stream of delicious canapés & cuisine, making sure that everyone had plenty to eat & drink throughout
the evening in this stylish & cosy venue.
We were entertained with the smooth dulcet vocals of Tiaryn Griggs complemented by her jazzy piano style on the keyboards, enticing many of our members onto the dance floor later into the night.
It was certainly a very enjoyable occasion!

Sunday Lunch at the Naked Fig
2010-07-25
On a beautiful 21 degrees Sunday afternoon, where better to be than having lunch with friends while enjoying ocean views and a vibrant atmosphere.
We met at 12.30pm for drinks at the all new Naked Fig Café, overlooking Swanbourne Beach. Our 38 guests who attended enjoyed delicious healthy gourmet meals; the decking area was perfect with the cafe blinds open &
a mild breeze drifting off the ocean…
We recommend if you didn’t come along to this event that you try this
great new venue, with fantastic food & superb service...
we’re sure you’ll love it!

Dinner at The Old Brewery
2010-07-17
Without question the opinion of our 34 members who joined us for dinner on Saturday evening all agreed we must do this again!
The location, ambiance, service & particularly the cuisine of the Old Swan Brewery, was first class.
The spacious, comfortable bar reserved for our use provided the perfect pre dinner setting. The Old Brewery is a very stylish, quality venue, which our members thoroughly appreciated & enjoyed. Due to the restaurant being fully booked, we were limited with the numbers we could reserve, so to avoid disappointment, please book early on these occasions...
